La Unión de Transporte de Carga de Manzanillo advirtió que cerca del 20% de la carga que tradicionalmente se moviliza a través del puerto colimense ha comenzado a desviarse hacia el puerto de Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán, debido a problemas operativos y aduanales que persisten en Manzanillo.
Yax Tzel Nolasco Gómez, presidente de la organización, señaló que el arranque del año 2025 ha sido particularmente complicado para el sector, debido a una serie de factores que están afectado severamente la logística portuaria. Entre ellos destacó el impacto del decreto de comercio exterior que entró en vigor el 1 de enero, el retraso en el funcionamiento aduanal por la falta de usuarios autorizados, y las amenazas arancelarias por parte de Estados Unidos, especialmente en el sector del acero.
“El decreto que se implementó a inicio de año afectó gravemente el comercio exterior, y en mayo se detuvieron las revisiones aduaneras, lo que provocó un colapso logístico en Manzanillo”, explicó. Detalló que, en los días más críticos se llegaron a perder hasta 2,500 citas diarias, lo que representó un impacto económico superior a los 84 millones de pesos diarios por concepto de demoras y almacenajes.
Aunque reconoció una mejoría reciente gracias a la incorporación de personal capacitado y la reactivación del sistema de usuarios autorizados en aduanas, Nolasco Gómez subrayó que aún persisten rezagos importantes en el ingreso y salida de unidades de carga. “Estamos hablando de 6 mil camiones diarios, muchos de ellos quedándose sin cargar, lo que genera gastos innecesarios y molestias a importadores y exportadores”, apuntó.
Sobre el desvío de mercancías, indicó que, si bien el puerto de Lázaro Cárdenas ha absorbido temporalmente parte del flujo logístico, su personal aduanal no cuenta con la experiencia necesaria para manejar ciertos tipos de carga especializada. “Eso nos da tranquilidad, porque sabemos que esa carga volverá a Manzanillo”, aseguró.
Finalmente, afirmó que los transportistas mantienen un diálogo constante con las autoridades portuarias, municipales y federales para mejorar la coordinación y evitar mayores pérdidas logísticas y económicas para el sector.
